The ideal"art forum"in my view shall possess pluralism,
academy, elegance, freshness and persistence. Only the one who
satisfy these five conditions, can he has the vitality.The ideal"art

1. Pluralism
The thought shall be free, independent and diversified; and
various types of unity shall be rejected. Although "many"
doesn't represent "good", only "many"
can breed high quality through square competition. In its
definition, pluralism means the greater openness to the outside
world; multi-center or non-center; the respect to the individuality
and creativity of the person who comments; and the tolerance
to suspectism and "heresy". The advocator of "pluralism"
doesn't indicate that it affirms relativism, i.e., distinguishing
between true and fault, good and bad, beautiful and ugly,
elegant and obsolete, superior and inferior, and high and
low values.
Of course, pluralism means the greatest tolerance to the
various academic criticism as well. But it also supports that
criticism must have the same artistic reality and concepts
as premise, and take a serious attitude, while doesn't support
being swayed by personal feelings and various non-academic
criticisms and even attacks. Nowadays, as academic standards
haven't become general common understandings, criticism and
controversy is difficult to form real dialogues. Under this
circumstance, soliloquizing within aim at potential aim, going
one's way "flyover-like", is the most effective
way of academic exploration.
2. Academic
The forum has it definite academic pursuit and aim which
distinguish forum from art "net bar",chat room and
advertisement department. A short essay shall also be written
on the basis of grounds of its views. Its independent opinion
and relevant academic research, but not be out of thin air,
ramble talk, echo of the opinion of others, fake flattery
or willful trample.
Due to the special historical reason and the over whelming
power of the west language, the Chinese lose it own norm,
then the tend of "translation culture"has became
more and more seriously. Obscure Language. Award reading,
fabrication, deliberated mystifying, and the confusion of
the meaning of a word have exceedingly constituded the contamination
of Chinese culture and the threat against Chinese academic
research. Conducting honestly, studying frankly, using Chinese
normally and expressively shall be regarded as an academic
target of the forum.
3. Elegance
"Elegance" said here means neither drawing back
to the pride and aloofness of the literary and the scholar-officials
nor advocating the "mystery" of the East mysticism
or the "abstractness" of the West language philosophy,
let alone affirming various hypocrite and pseudo-science.
It is a health and noble interest-which runs away the slippery
and fling abuse of market place hoodlum, refuses the vulgarity
and lowness in streets and lanes, abandons the unprincipled
advertisement of the public media, discards the design and
promoting sale by the artist himself or the agency of gallery,
doesn't attain any other aim beyond the domain of academic
research through the mind state of young boys and girls or
through the exposure of privacy in the tabloid.
4. Freshness
It means the fresh thought, the revived and vigorous style
of writing. As a terrace of communication of the art thought,
forum pays close attention to the transverse section of the
art and thought-the every new creation, new problem, new focus
at all respect, and the avoidance of platitudinousness or
the duplicated"right nonsense",The forum also shows
its solicited for the vertical section of the art thought-the
emphasis on the accumulation of intelligence, the summary
of the historical investigation and experiences, the avoidance
of the slackness and meagerness, and the avoidance of not
being deep and piercing. Every art problem is the current
and also the historical deep thought, Any debate shall be
discussed completely through the actual and historical sections.
The style of writing is the figure and spirit of the author,
although it will change along with the change of person, circumstance
and title, the natural plainness and energy (not show) must
be fundamental-It not only derive from the literal skills,
but also express naturally the life and the culture. The proverbs

5. Persistence
It the patience and persistence of pursuing the defined aim.

it. We shall keep our own academic character and the deep
humanism concern as more as possible no matter where to start,
easy circumstance and adverse circumstance. "As distance
tests a horse's strength, so time reveals a person's heart"It
is only the persistence that can express the thought of the
host and debater, can track the out and out thought of a historical
period completely, can transform the communication between
china and foreign countries from a short-term conduct to a
long term conduct.
